"SRI EV1" - All Electric Buggy
SRI partnered with us (SRD) and EV West to construct thIS vehicle. EV West, who recently built and competed at Pikes Peak in an Electric BMW, was responsible for the electrical engineering of the EV1 and crucial in R&D. SRI presented this task with an extremely constrained timeline. To meet their original goal of racing this First of Its Kind vehicle in the Baja 1000 (just 9 months from the project’s conception), they provided us with a Brenthel Industries chassis and suspension system to start from, which SRD modified to accommodate batteries and the electronic monitoring systems as well as the standard components of a Class 1 vehicle. SRD was asked, in addition to building the EV1, to acquire sponsored products, drive/co-drive (with Jeff Smith), and provide chase and pit support.
F150 Luxury Prerunner
This truck was featured by Bilstein at the 2011 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Nevada - just before its completion in early 2012. It was built as a prerunner / recreational truck for the local Southern California deserts while remaining 100% street legal for daily driving. While boasting luxury of power accessories, A/C, heat, surround sound, dual TV screens, and heated leather seats - this truck is perfect for attacking the terrain with the entire family.
Affectionately named the "Baja Pig" by owner and driver Bill Caswell of Caswell Motorsport, this race car was a whirlwind project. The challenge was brought to SRD a mere 7 days before it took the green flag at the 2010 SCORE Baja 1000.
A cherished member of the SRD family, this 4x4 Ford F150 is a multi-purpose truck. It serves as a daily driver, prerunner for local and international races, and family recreational vehicle.
